The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if daily brief periods of specialized soft contact lens wear work to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. Additionally, the study will learn about the compliance and safety of specialized soft contact lens wear in children. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does wearing specialized soft contact lenses daily slow myopia progression and axial elongation? What visual/ocular problems do participants have when wearing specialized soft contact lenses? Researchers will compare two soft contact lenses to see if specialized soft contact lens wear works to treat childhood myopia progression. Participants will 1. Wear either a single type of soft contact lens or two types of soft contact lenses at alternate times daily full time in both eyes for one year. 2. Visit the clinic at 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months for checkups and tests 3. Keep a diary of the lens-wearing times.

The purpose of this study is to find out what causes kidney disease in people with CF. The investigators will study biomarkers in the blood and urine that can either predict who is at risk or detect kidney damage early before it becomes permanent. The study will compare these markers in people with CF over time and during the treatment of lung flare-ups. It will also compare the blood and urine samples obtained from people without CF. The comparison aims to better understand the impact of cystic fibrosis and its treatment on the kidneys, as well as to develop improved methods for preventing, diagnosing, and treating kidney issues associated with CF.

Adults 40 years of age and older with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) or 18 years and older with progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF) can participate in this study. Only people who have a chronic cough can take part. The purpose of this study is to find out how well BI 1839100 helps reduce coughing in people with IPF or PPF. Participants who have IPF are put into 4 groups by chance. Participants in 3 groups get different doses of BI 1839100. Participants in 1 group get placebo. Placebo looks like BI 1839100 but does not contain any medicine. Participants take the treatment for 3 months. After 1 month of treatment, participants who take the highest dose will have coughing measured to find out if the medicine works. If it does not work, the study may be stopped. Participants who have IPF are in the study for slightly longer than 4 months. During this time, they visit the study site 7 times. This study will also measure the effects of BI 1839100 on coughing and lung function in a smaller group of people with PPF. During the study, coughing is measured over 24 hours about once per month using a portable device given to participants to use during the study. Participants fill in questionnaires about their coughing. Doctors also perform breathing tests that measure how well the lungs are working at the site visits. Researchers compare the results between participants who take BI 1839100 and placebo. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.

In an effort to reduce graft versus host disease (GVHD) and enhance graft versus leukemia (GVL) effect post allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT), recent research has focused on host immune cell depletion. Frame shifting anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG) backwards to earlier days before days 0 can result in deeper host and less graft T-cell depletion, leading to better immune reconstitution. Preliminary data where 80% of the ATG dose is given on days -6,-5,-4 and 20% given on day -1, showed effective prevention of severe acute GVHD, chronic GVHD and favorable early immune reconstitution. We hypothesize that our 2 step ATG dosing platform when combined with standard tacrolimus and mini methotrexate can prevent grade III-IV acute GVHD and chronic GVHD, resulting in improvement of GVHD/relapse free survival at one year post transplant.

Bipolar I disorder (BP-I) is a common, chronic, and disabling mental illness with significant morbidity and mortality defined by episodes of mania and depression (or symptoms of both at once, known as mixed features). This prospective, observational study will examine effectiveness, functioning and quality of life outcomes in adult patients with BP-I experiencing a major depressive episode (with or without mixed features) requiring treatment and initiating treatment with cariprazine. It will examine outcomes of cariprazine treatment in a real-world setting in patients with BP-I commonly seen in clinical practices. Cariprazine (Vraylar) is a medication indicated in the United States and Canada to treat adult patients experiencing manic, mixed or depressive episodes associated with BP-I. This study plans to enroll approximately 170 adult patients with BP-I from the United States and Canada. Cariprazine should be prescribed by the physician under the usual and customary practice of physician prescription. The decision to initiate treatment with cariprazine should be made prior to, and independently from, the patient's decision to participate in the study. Participants will receive cariprazine as prescribed by their physician. Observational data will be collected during visits which should align to routine standard of care for a duration of up to 24 weeks.

Similar to the paradigm established in other hematologic malignancies that are considered curable, the achievement of MRD(-) status is necessary for long term disease control in MM. The fact that the majority of patients remain MRD (+) after induction therapy and AHCT points to the opportunity to deploy novel agents with complementary mechanism of action and favorable toxicity profile to reach and maintain MRD (-) status. Given its favorable toxicity profile, the convenience of oral administration, and compelling single agent activity even in heavily pretreated MM, iberdomide is likely amenable to long term therapy in patients with high-risk of relapse/progression identified by the persistence of MRD(+). The investigators intend to develop combination(s) of iberdomide with other agents with complementary mechanism of action in the consolidation setting post AHCT in order to achieve and sustain MRD (-).
